As we end our 10th impressive season of providing FA Charter Standard girls football in Bolton, Academy Juniors are pleased to present the following teams for 2018/19:
We all train together as a Club at the same venue and on the same weekday evenings, though it goes without saying that our sessions are separate for each age group in order to provide an age appropriate football curriculum to ensure full participation, fun and development for each individual.
Training sessions are Wednesday evenings at Burnden Park and Friday evenings at Thornleigh.
All of our matches are played on Sundays, and we encourage players and their families to support other age groups when possible, either by cheering on from the sidelines, or helping out with any activities at the time.
As our girls progress through the Club, many of them ‘stay on and give back’, whereby they serve as coaches and mentors to the younger age groups. It’s a fantastic model of development, and one that goes from strength to strength each season. Original AJs player, Jemma Entwistle, has within recent years progressed her way through the Club to take her seat as Chair of Academy Juniors. Not a bad role model for young girls at all, at the age of just 22.
Keep looking through our website to meet the rest of the team here at Academy Juniors, and see for yourselves why we’re the home of girls football in Bolton.
